Since then I’ve spent many years traveling and living abroad. I started blogging as a creative outlet to get a better understanding of a place and to provide insights into local attractions.
For me overseas travel has been an incredible learning experience. I found ways to adapt to diverse settings and appreciate the unexpected. Along the way I did volunteer work in Nepal and the Philippines.
I spent a lot of time in Europe, doing office temp work in London and teaching business English in Paris. Later I moved to Switzerland where I worked for non-profit organizations, spending many of my weekends and holidays hiking and skiing in the Alps.
I live in Toronto and like going to sports events, theatre and stand-up comedy shows. I also enjoy listening to live music at pubs, concerts and festivals and I write about it often in my blog.
Throughout the years I have experienced interesting cultures and explored different cities. I’ve been inspired by the emotional resonance of moving through new places and meeting people from different backgrounds.
